“Mount Kottathalachi stands tall and impressive atop Pulingom-Tabore region. The 360 degree views left us astounded! The evening breeze whispered secrets untold, nature’s glory forever to behold. The panorama embraced us after thirty minutes of adventurous, through-the-tall-grass, offroad Jeep drive from the valley and an easier one-hour hiking. It’s an exquisite weekend destination!

The most Beautiful mountain range!
Kottathalachi Mala (Mount Kottathalachi) outsmarts all other high ranges in Malabar! Trekking from Pulingome town to Kottathalachi took two and half hours. On the way at the base we met with the members of Kottathalachi Development Society who offered us lunch by when we return. We hiked top dog-tired, but to my surprise, the fresh, cool breeze took away all tiredness in no time! It’s a place worth travelling as it offers 360 degree wide view. We enjoyed the hospitality of the society members as well, for the lunch they served was so delicious and relieving.
Overwhelming!
Trekking at 5 in the morning was quite amazing, and as soon as I reached the top, I could see a purple background right behind the church located at the top of the mountain. I was overwhelmed to see that particular part. I sat there to watch the mountains that looked like a painting. Then happened the sunrise, the best thing I have ever seen . Although Iam from Karnataka and reside in Bangaluru, I would love to visit kottathalachi again and again for its beauty.
